Challenge

Axiohm acquired multiple brands (DH Technology, Stadia, American Magnetics, Cognitive Solutions) and faced a dual imperative: retain the equity of NCR’s well-established POS reputation while elevating Axiohm as a credible global parent brand.

 

At the same time, each acquired brand needed distinct positioning to serve discrete markets—OEMs, distributors, and end-users—with differentiated products such as magstripe readers, laser printers, and barcode solutions.

 

The challenge was to create a cohesive brand architecture and parent identity while executing targeted marketing strategies for each sub-brand, balancing integration with differentiation to drive global sales and market recognition.

Solution

  • Conducted executive and staff interviews, market research, and competitive audits to define the future-state brand, architecture, and positioning.
     

  • Developed a global brand identity, architecture, messaging framework, and standards, connecting sub-brands relationally while retaining their unique market value.
